In 1988, Zzyzyx Partners LLP, manufacturers' representatives, was spun-off from Zzyzyx Group USA Inc., a Total Quality Management auditor - steeped in the Six Sigma processes that would evolve into ISO-9000 and QS-9000 excrescencies. The original intent of the spin-off was to supplement the P&L footings of a TQM auditor with product enhancements tha would survive the rock-solid refusals of retailers to incorporate quality "gates" into their sales and sales processes.
With this quality-centric background, Zzyzyx Partners LLP set about to "interview" manufacturers whose products embraced Six Sigma, or at least, was the result of JIT or Total Quality processes. Our first Product was Paul Bond western boots from Nogales, Arizona. Over the years, we have represented an eclectic array of product from hand-made boots and western hats to RV's (motor homes & travel trailers) and RV Cover, air suspension 5th Wheel trailer hitches, Truck and Van conversions (later "morphed" into Touring Coaches) and Mobility (handicap) conversions. The same is true today as it was in the beginning, we represent no manufacturer whose product fails the Quality "gates" of our Six Sigma interpretations.
For the past five or six years, we've limited our representation to the total quality vendors hightlighted on our website: CalMark Cover Co., Diamond RV Centre, Eclipse Sunshades, and L&S Safety Solutions LLC. As we infuse our culture into their products, we continue as members of the total Quality Consortium, American Society for Quality Control, American Management Association, Family Motor Coach Association and The Good Sam Club.
